Zion National Park is a spectacular natural wonder located in the southwestern part of Utah, in the United States. Covering over 593 km2229 mi2, the park is renowned for its stunning landscapes, towering sandstone cliffs, and deep canyons that offer breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences.
The park's signature feature is the towering red sandstone cliffs, which are the result of millions of years of geological activity. These cliffs are particularly impressive at sunset when they glow with a reddish-orange hue, creating a stunning visual display that is sure to leave visitors in awe.
One of the most famous and challenging hikes in the park is Angels Landing. This 453-meter1,488-foot rock formation has a narrow trail leading to its summit, which offers panoramic views of the park's canyons and cliffs. The hike is not for the faint of heart, as it involves hiking on narrow paths with steep drop-offs, but the reward is well worth the effort.
Another popular activity in Zion National Park is hiking in The Narrows, a narrow slot canyon carved by the Virgin River. This hike involves wading through the river, which can be thigh-deep or even deeper in some places. The towering walls of the canyon create a breathtaking environment that is a photographer's dream.
Aside from hiking, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy in Zion National Park. Rock climbing enthusiasts will find plenty of challenging routes, while wildlife lovers can observe a variety of animals, including mule deer, bighorn sheep, and even the occasional mountain lion or black bear.
The park's beauty and popularity mean that it can get crowded, especially during peak season, so visitors should plan ahead and be prepared for crowds. However, even with the crowds, Zion National Park offers an unforgettable experience that is sure to leave visitors with memories that will last a lifetime.

I cannot recommend it enough. This national is simply the best national park on the west coast of the US. It has it all: From the emerald pools to waterfalls to spectacular lookouts and hidden spots! And Angel's Landing is just thrilling everytime again. I visited Zion probably around 15 times and it won't be the last time for sure.
Beautiful park, even in winter conditions. Great scenic drive which leads to many viewpoints and trail heads. As we visited during winter months the park shuttles were not running and we were able to use our own car for the scenic drive which allowed for great flexibility. Some snow on trails, but ok for trails without significant elevation gains, which was fine with us.
Speechless at Beaty of this park. Easy access into the park. 35.00 per vehicle for 7 days of entry. Free shuttle service in the park for all 9 stops. They come every 2-3 mins. Staff at the park is friendly and helpful.
Maybe the most beautiful park I have visited in the USA. The drive in was spectacular, and the scenery inside the canyons was other worldly. I will definitely come back to spend more days hiking and camping in the area.
Absolutely amazing. One of our favorite places on Earth. Clean and pristine park with great free shuttle service. Angels Landing and The Narrows hikes were fabulous. Angels Landing is available by lottery only but the Narrows is available to all. It is amazing to hike among the river and its tall walls towering over your head. The beauty is unforgettable.
No words can describe the beauty and massive structures you will witness here. The self drive in winter is the best way to see the park as the summer crowds require shuttles and lots of people. Unbelievable
